
WA Dominates at Nats

The Western Australian Team was the overall winner at the 2025 Target Pistol Australia National Championships. Held at the Whiteman Park International Pistol Club over a week in March, WA beat NSW by 161 points, winning six team trophies out of the nine on offer. To top it off Linda Jekel’s scores in WA1500 Revolver Optical and WA1500 Pistol Optical were declared national records. Jeremy Kozak’s 48 shot Stock Semi Auto and 60 shot Distinguished Pistol scores (using borrowed guns) were also National records. Feedback from the interstate competitors was overwhelmingly positive. The club is to be congratulated on hosting a great event.

New world record
Evergreen WA shooter Linda Jekel from the Whiteman Park International Pistol club recently broke the women’s world record for WA1500 Revolver match, with a score of 1487-96x.
