Pistol shooting is an ideal sport for people with physical disabilities. Particularly for ISSF matches which don’t require changing shooting position, disabled people can compete alongside able bodied competitors. All that is needed is one steady arm and a good eye.

At State Championship level and higher, events are conducted to International Paralympic Committee (IPC) rules. Events consist of 10m Pistol, 25m Pistol and 50m Pistol.

Shooting Australia runs a Paralympic program for talented shooters and WAPA can assist with coaching for those wishing to strive to the highest level.
